Be authentically you
I offer a safe space to those who may not have felt secure in being their true authentic self.
The sessions give you the opportunity to understand your whole self and what makes you who you are.
We will explore your thoughts, behaviours, feelings and beliefs to identify any past experiences that could be contaminating your present self and stopping you moving forward in your goals.
About Me
Helping individuals to look after their own mental health and well-being is something I am passionate about. I specialise in a therapy called Transactional Analysis (TA). This type of therapy focuses on the whole individual to promote personal growth and change.
Previously, I worked in the education sector for over 15 years. This experience gave me an insight into a variety of mental health issues from a diverse range of individuals.
One of the most important things to me has been my drive to help people to achieve their true potential. That is also what attracted me to TA, ‘it is considered a fundamental therapy for well-being and for helping individuals to reach their full potential in all aspects of life.’

How I can help
Are you struggling to be the person you want to be? Are you stuck in life and not sure how to move forward? Do you hide how you really feel because you worry how people might react?
Are you unable to express your opinions? Struggling with anger? Constantly worried? Do you feel like no one understands you?
I have extensive experience working with a range of issues including lack of self-esteem, anxiety and depression. I also have specialist experience of aiding those who have suffered complex traumas such as sexual abuse and domestic violence.
Why counselling?
I’m often asked why can’t I just talk to a friend about my problems? Do I really need a therapist?
Therapy is all about you. It is consistent and follows a clear process.
Friendship is based on two-way support and is ad hoc. You may find yourself going round in circles and repeating the same things over and over.
